Who is Jimmy Roman?
This is something I’ve been trying to figure out for years. But I guess this is also why I write music. To be quite honest, there’s far too much for me to understand in this world. I’m assuming this is the case with you as well. The way I deal with life is through writing a song. Writing lyrics and music help me put a feeling behind my thoughts and ideas. In part it’s like writing in a journal that the whole world can see. There are some things I will be open about and others that will have a hidden meaning.
There are a few things you should know about me. First of all, I won’t pretend that I’m something I’m not. Whether on or off stage I am who I am. I appreciate my fans and friends and the support they give me. I won’t be a jerk to you because you deserve better than that. You’re the one listening to my songs and coming to my shows. You’re investment, time and energy deserve my respect. You have it.
Secondly, I was a worship pastor at a church for about 4.5 years. That experience stretched me in many ways. The end of my time there was met with a slew of questions and doubt about God and His church. I still struggle with many of these things so I’m sure you’ll here about it in my songs in the next year.
Last but not least, my most recent work titled “Vagabond’s Riches” was released in 2006. It’s been quite awhile since that recording but now I have so much to write about and the gear to finally make records on my own. 2012 looks to be a year of a few song releases. I hope that you will stay on this journey with me.
Thank you for your support. There aren’t enough words or songs to express my gratitude.
Best Regards,
Jimmy
